Mandatory Training for All School Volunteers

Per new school board requirements, any person who volunteers to work with or around students MUST ATTEND A MANDATORY VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSION before being allowed to work with or around students.

This is a new policy and includes all new volunteers AS WELL AS anyone who has volunteered (ever) and wants to continue working with students!  This includes any person who helps out in almost any capacity with the band …. at football games, riding buses, Saturday practices, competitions, special trips, etc.

Is there going to be a list of approved volunteers published who can be around our children so we may hold Coweta County responsible for.

    • webmaster says:

That’s a very interesting question Cindy. Since this is a system-wide mandate, I think you should pose your question directly to the school board (or someone at the county office).

If I work for CCSS employee and have already recieved the required training for employees, do I still have to do this training to be a volunteer?

    • webmaster says:

CCSS employees who have already had the training at their own school do NOT have to attend any other training sessions.
